Every Business Owner Struggles...(And That's Okay)

Our biggest challenges are always internal.

When we come back into alignment we become clearer, more passionate, and more capable of achieving our goals.

Running a business is hard. My biggest breakthroughs came after I realized I wasn’t alone in the struggle, and that every inner challenge we face is solvable.

Business Growth Begins Within.

We are taught to believe that most of our problems are external.

  • We feel stressed –> and point to challenges at work, or at home.
  • We feel drained –> and point to the 1,001 things we have to do today.
  • We feel stuck –> and point to the obstacles we just can’t overcome.

But the truth is.

Our outer problems are never the real problem.

They are symptoms of a deeper misalignment, a quiet disconnection from our natural, inner joy and well-being.

I call that feeling: Unconscious Unhappiness.

Almost everyone goes through it, and Unconscious Unhappiness is most common in successful, stable, and emotionally healthy adults.

It isn’t a flaw or a failure.

That feeling that “something’s off” is a signal that it’s time to realign and come back to your whole, authentic self.

Kyle’s sessions were excellent. He quickly understood where I was on my journey and helped me pinpoint where to focus. It’s become very clear to me that virtually all of my thoughts are there simply to prop up my beliefs. This is a great revelation, helping to calm my mind in a way that I have never really experienced before.

Stress and negative emotions point us towards the hidden fears and limiting beliefs holding us back from the authentic, happy, and empowered person we are meant to be.

My Approach - A Return To Your Whole Self

Who is this coaching for?

This work is for business owners, entrepreneurs, and self-employed professionals who are capable, driven, and self-aware — but who feel like something is off.

You may be:

  • Running a business that looks “successful” on paper, but feels heavier than it should
  • Carrying a constant mental load that never fully turns off
  • Finding that stress, self-doubt, or frustration are starting to affect your work
  • Feeling stuck or tired of pushing through on willpower alone
  • Looking for clarity, confidence, and peace of mind — not another tactic or system.

This is especially well-suited for people who want to stay fully engaged in their work, without sacrificing their well-being or sense of self along the way.

This coaching is NOT a fit if:

  • You’re looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do in your business
  • You want a new growth hack or productivity system
  • You’re hoping to “fix” other people without looking at your own internal responses
  • You’re not open to slowing down just enough to notice what’s actually happening inside
  • You’re in the middle of a crisis that requires clinical or therapeutic support

This work isn’t about bypassing reality, avoiding responsibility, or chasing constant positivity.

It requires honesty, presence, and a willingness to examine how you are showing up — especially when things are messy.

My coaching is practical, grounded, and fast-acting.

I will help you zero-in on the core strategies you need to be able to step back, detach from your inner stories, and come back into alignment with your natural, authentic self.

For most clients, this comes down to two key skills:

1. Strengthen Your Inner Peace.

Before we can make any lasting shifts, we need to develop the ability to catch our negative thoughts, in the moment they arise.

We do this by finding a single moment of relief, then expanding that space by reconnecting to a deep sense of resonance and inner peace.

You will learn how to feel centered and clear, on command, even when challenges arise.

2. Reframe Your Thoughts and Beliefs.

When we reconnect to our inner stillness, we can use it to guide our thoughts into a better-feeling state.

This isn’t “positive thinking,” it’s about shifting, authentically and deliberately towards the thoughts that better serve us, in this moment.

While we can always shift our thoughts and move into a better mood NOW, lasting change comes when we also update our beliefs.

Our negative thoughts point us towards the hidden fears and limiting beliefs we hold, giving us the opportunity to let go of old ideas and cultivate the mindset that best serves us going forward.

These 2 core skills map directly into The Path of Alignment.

  1. Step Back and Reset: Do whatever it takes to interrupt your negative thoughts and find a single moment of relief.
  2. Turn Within: Reconnect to your natural, inner joy so you can feel clarity and peace of mind, on command.
  3. Shift Your Self-Talk: Reach for a better-feeling thought, authentically and deliberately.
  4. Update Your Beliefs: Release the fears and limitations that have been holding you back from your whole self.
  5. Act from Aligned Joy: Take clear, confident, and inspired action, knowing you are on-track towards your goals.

These steps give you the structure to change how you feel today, while reshaping how you think, act, and show up in your life long-term.

We start with a real, specific situation you’re dealing with — something that’s currently creating stress, friction, or uncertainty.

From there, we look at how you’re experiencing the situation internally — what’s happening in your body, where your attention goes, and the thoughts or assumptions that get activated automatically.

Often, just noticing this creates immediate space.

From that calmer, more centered state, we explore two things:

  1. How to regulate yourself in the moment, so you’re not reacting on autopilot
  2. The underlying narrative shaping your response — and whether that story is actually true, complete, or useful

For example, a session might start with something like:

“I snapped at one of my team members after he missed another deadline.”

Rather than trying to fix the employee right away, we slow the moment down:

  • What shifted internally before the reaction?
  • What assumption was running in the background?
  • What other interpretations or responses were available — but invisible at the time?

The goal isn’t to bypass real business issues.

It’s to help you meet them from a clearer, more grounded state — where better options naturally become available.

For most people, the work unfolds along two parallel paths:

  • Building the capacity to reset and come back to center in real time
  • Identifying and shifting the mental patterns that quietly drain energy and distort perspective

Over time, this leads to calmer leadership, clearer decisions, and far less internal friction — even when the external challenges don’t go away.

Not in the sense of analyzing cash flow or building a new marketing strategy — I help you rise above the day to day so you can see the field more clearly.

When we’re stressed, stuck, or worn down, we don’t think clearly. Usually, the block is within ourselves.

When we step back and come into alignment, we find we already know the right next step. That’s the state I want you to feel: calm, confident, knowingness

Then the business problems start to feel easier, and the details begin to take care of themselves.

Think about it this way:

  • Do business problems come up in our sessions? Absolutely.
  • Do we roll up our sleeves and detail a plan to hit your KPIs? Not at all.

You already know your business better than any coach ever could. My job is to help you get out of your own way, so you can activate that clarity within yourself.

I have been an entrepreneur for nearly 20 years, across 3 businesses: a VC-backed startup, a boutique marketing agency, and The Joy Within. Whatever stress you’re facing, I’ve been there. During my first two companies, I tried every trick I could find to stay calm and clear despite the chaos. When I finally “cracked the code,” my life changed — almost overnight.

I realized we all have the ability to feel incredible states of joy, peace, and well-being, even when we are driving forward and facing challenge in our daily grind. In 2016 I shifted gears and started helping others tune-in to that state for themselves. 10 years later, I’ve helped hundreds of driven professionals — most of them business owners — to find alignment and peace of mind as they move towards their goals.

Yes — and here’s the part that most people don’t talk about.

Meaningful goals don’t just require better strategies.

They require us to grow into a higher version of ourselves.

As your business reaches for a new level, it naturally surfaces fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs that were never an issue before — because you hadn’t outgrown them yet. Left unexamined, those inner blocks quietly keep us operating at a familiar level, even when we say we want more.

This work is about identifying and moving through those internal limits.

When you’re no longer unconsciously bracing against fear or self-doubt:

  • You see opportunities more clearly
  • Decisions feel simpler and more obvious
  • You take action with less hesitation and second-guessing
  • Forward momentum feels more natural — and far less forced

In that sense, business growth often becomes a byproduct of inner alignment.

As the internal resistance falls away, you find yourself flowing more effortlessly toward the goals that matter to you.

This isn’t about pushing harder or “thinking positively.”

It’s about becoming the person your next level of growth requires.

Most people notice a shift very quickly.

It’s common to feel clearer and more grounded after the very first call — simply from slowing down, stepping out of reactive patterns, and seeing your situation from a calmer perspective.

Within the first week, many clients notice a meaningful change in how they’re moving through their days — less internal friction, more space, and a greater sense of control.

After 4-6 weeks of consistent work, the difference tends to feel more stable:

  • Stress doesn’t spike as easily

  • Challenges feel more manageable

  • You’re operating with more ease and presence, even when things are busy

From there, the benefits compound over time as new patterns replace old ones.

That said, this isn’t a quick fix or a performance hack.

The pace of change depends on your starting point and your willingness to engage with the work — but for most people, the impact is felt sooner than they expect.

This work is designed to fit into a full, demanding schedule — not add to it.

Most clients choose to meet either weekly or every other week, depending on their needs and availability. We’ll decide together what cadence makes the most sense for you.

Outside of sessions, there are no long daily routines or homework assignments. Instead, we focus on simple, fast-acting strategies you can use in real time — even when you’re stuck in the conference room or jumping between calls.

You’ll learn to step back and shift — without stepping away from your day.

The goal isn’t to create another obligation. It’s to help you gain back time, by moving through your existing responsibilities with more clarity, steadiness, and ease.

When we are in alignment, life begins to feel easier. We flow more effortlessly and become more fulfilled, even as we are still on the way towards our goals.
