Jim Rohn was one of the greatest motivational speakers of the 20th century. He spoke on topics related to developing positive habits and the psychology of success, focusing on how having the right goals, coupled with consistent discipline and diligent action can propel anyone towards success in any field they choose.
In this post we’ll take a look at Rohn’s philosophy, and I’ve shared a great lecture on how Rohn teaches The Law of Attraction.
Rohn’s Philosophy of Success: Using The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction is a central feature of Jim Rohn’s philosophy. While he rarely talks about the Law of Attraction by name, if you listen to his teachings he discusses practical, every-day techniques that take advantage of this law.
Rohn taught that your success begins with your mindset. It doesn’t matter what your goal is, what matters is how prepared you are to attract it into your life.
You attract success through the habits you develop. He was a firm believer that habits dictate the type of person you are. When you develop the habit of working consistently towards a steady aim, then success with that aim is all but inevitable.
This is very similar to the teachings of Abraham Hicks, Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, and other top motivational speakers about the psychology of success. When you find the right mindset, everything else will begin to align itself with you and push you towards your aim.
You, and only you, can determine what this mindset is going to be. You are in charge of your personal philosophy, and it is this philosophy that will determine how your life works out for you.

Jim Rohm Seminar & Lecture on How To Master Your Psychology
In this video, Rohn goes into detail on how to leverage your own psychology in order to set yourself up for success.
He starts out by making a very astute observation, noting that “If someone hands you a million dollars, you’d better become a millionaire very quickly.”
Within this idea is Rohn’s view of The Law of Attraction. he’s basically saying that having money is never about the money. It’s about your attitude. This is why lottery winners can receive multi-million dollar jackpots, and then wind up wasting all of it and taking on debt they can’t afford. If you aren’t a millionaire in your habits and behaviors, you won’t be able to handle a million dollars, even if it were to fall into your lap.
There are a ton of other great insights in this video, so I suggest you listen to this seminar, recorded in 1981.
