Where To Download The Best Meditation Music
Are you looking for incredible meditation music but just can’t find the right mix? Look no further. In this post I’ll share some of the best meditation tracks I use for my morning meditations.
I understand that deciding which meditation music to listen to can be an extremely personal decision, so I’ve ordered these by type of music. There’s no right or wrong recording to use, so hopefully you’ll be able to find something that makes sense for you.
Should You Listen To Music While Meditating?
Before you pick out your favorite meditation mp3 or youtube video, one of the main questions you might want to ask yourself is whether or not listening to music is right for your meditation. I address this idea in more detail in my post on how to meditate properly, but the gist is that music can be an extremely helpful way to let your mind relax. It gives you something to focus on, which distracts you from your hectic, everyday thoughts. This allows your mind to quiet, and you’ll be able to relax more deeply and have an overall better meditation experience.
That said, here are some of the meditation music mp3s I’ve used and love.
Music for Positive Energy
One of my favorite types of music for meditation is to focus on music that instills positive energy. This can be anything from a mantra to a light, happy-sounding recording. Some people like to listen to monotone drones at different frequency levels in order to balance different chakra centers, but personally I prefer to have actual music.
For a peaceful yet uplifting acoustic guitar instrumental, I really enjoy this recording:
And, for a calm, flowing mantra that isn’t too intense, try out this wonderful So Hum mantra recording.
Music for Peace and Inner Calm
Some of my favorite tracks are to instill a complete feeling of inner peace and calm.
One of my favorite composers of spiritual meditation music is Anders Holte. His Lemurian Homecoming is one of my favorites:
And this track also has a wonderful, peaceful feel.
Mantra Music
If you’re looking for good mantra music, then there are way too many great recordings to list here. I have an entire section of the website dedicated to mantra meditation and the great music you can find for different chants. So if you’re interested in learning more about that I recommend you check it out. I’d suggest you start with this post on how to use mantras.
I have read several of your articles on meditation and they are very helpful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, usually when I ask people how to meditate I get just close your eyes and don’t think, go inward.” Which to an extent I understand but it really doesn’t help!
Thank you again!
