The Gift Of Meditation: Awaken Your Intuition

Meditation has many benefits, but did you know it could gift you the ability to instantly expand your knowledge? This is what we call awakening your intuition.

What Is Intuition?

Intuition is not just the mystical experience we may think of it as. It can be understood as instinctive knowledge, such as street smarts rather than book smarts.

The gift of intuition is acquiring knowledge without needing a prerequisite. Intuition is about reading between the lines such as using context clues.  Forbes published an article in 2017 regarding intuition as the highest form of intelligence.

The human mind is wired to see patterns. Intuition is less about suddenly “knowing” the right answer and more about instinctively understanding what information is unimportant and can thus be discarded, says Gerd Gigerenzer, a director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development.

What Are The Benefits of Intuition

When you awaken your intuition there are added benefits it will bring into your life. These benefits include increased creativity, developing more effective organizational skills, and a deepened ability to trust.

When increasing intuition you also increase avoiding missed opportunities as you develop the wisdom of when to say no and when it feels right to dive a little deeper.

You are able to fully maximize the utilization of the intellectual mind by awakening your intuition. The knowledge you learn through book smarts is only amplified when joined with the intuitive mind.

The rational and the intuitive mind actually strengthen each other.

Meditate To Awaken Intuition

Whether you are an advanced meditation practitioner or a beginner, your meditation practice will increase your awareness which then will directly increase your intuition.

Meditation is about heightening your awareness and dissolving illusions. Through our daily lives specifically in this day and age, we are becoming increasingly desensitized. This is through the excessive multi-tasking we engage in.

When we lack silent reflection time, our mental body does not have time to process through the many different experiences it has during the day. This leaves the mind no time to discard any excess thoughts or feelings that do not serve you moving forward.
