This post is Part III in our Beginner’s Guide to the Akashic Records. The first post explained what the akashic records are, and the last post explained how you can enter the akashic records through meditation and prayer.
In this post, we’ll talk about akashic records readings, outlining what you can expect from a reading, the pros and cons of them, and how you can find a qualified reader that’s right for you.
What Is An Akashic Records Reading? How The Process Works
While everyone has the ability to enter into their own akashic records to access guidance, learning to tap into this source of information and rely on it consistently is a process that takes a lot of practice.
If you’re new to working with the Akash, many people choose to work in conjunction with a dedicated records-reader or spiritual teacher. There are two ways you can do this.
First, you can work with someone who has experience entering the akashic records in order to get a reading. Through a phone or in-person conversation, your reader will raise his/her energy and ask to enter the records on your behalf.
When they do, you can ask questions to the reader, who will relay them to your guides and receive and translate an answer for you. The process feels much like having a conversation with the reader, though the reader is channeling information from your higher-self or spirit guides.
If this sounds weird to you, you might be surprised to find that the process is almost always very easy and comfortable. From your position, all you’re doing is having a conversation with someone, which can be done in person or on the phone. It’s the responsibility of the reader to raise their energy and tune into the records, so you don’t have to worry about doing anything specific.
Pros and Cons of Getting a Reading
Having a professional reading can be a beneficial process, and a great way to access your guidance very quickly. You can use akashic records readings to help you solve a specific problem, or find a general direction or purpose to any area of your life.
The downside is that readings can be expensive, and while you might work with a reader occasionally, the real benefit of the akash is to learn to work in consistent communication with it.
For this, the best route is to develop your own skills by building a meditation habit. Thus, you can also work with a teacher to help you to relax and open your own energy channels more clearly. Through meditation and training your inner vision and focus, you can develop the clarity and receptivity needed to enter your akashic records any time you choose.
Choosing an Akashic Records Professional
If you do decide to work with a guide to help you access your records, the most important consideration is to make sure you work with someone who has plenty of experience and positive reviews.
There are many authentic, well-qualified professionals who specialize in reading the Akashic Records, and if you search responsibly you’ll likely be able to find one in your area.
It is not necessary to meet the reader in person, however. The language of spiritual energy is universal, and does not depend on your location, so an authentic reader will be able to connect to your guides just as easily over the phone as they can with you in person. The choice is up to you.
Whether you connect on your own or work with a professional, the final step is to make sure you understand how to interpret the information and guidance you receive. We’ll cover this at length in the next post. Read: Part IV on how to follow your intuition to learn more.
