Abraham Hicks On Letting Go of Resistance and Clearing Your Path

If you’ve listened to any of Abraham’s talks, you’ve probably heard Esther talk about the importance of releasing resistance and following your path of least resistance.

While this might sound easy, the fact is that letting go of resistance is a practice that takes patience and skill in order to master. In this post I’ll share a few insights and tips that will help you see resistance from a new perspective and take the right steps towards aligning with your desires.

What is The Path of Least Resistance?

According to the teachings of Abraham, every time you have a desire for anything, Source immediately creates it for you in your vortex. In order to manifest it in the physical world around you, you have to align to the energy of the desire. The best way to do this is to follow the path of least resistance.

Following the path of least resistance simply means that you prioritize feeling good over anything else that happens. You have to train your logical mind to stop thinking about potential problems, obstacles, or worries, and instead focus on the joy that is already around you.

When you focus on beauty and joy, you raise your vibration and enter into the receiving mode. At that point, you will begin to feel inspired to action, and if you act on your inspiration you will be led to synchronicities that will help you to manifest your desires.

Following this process is known as the path of least resistance.

How To Get Rid of Unwanted Energy: The Key to Clearing Resistance

One of my favorite Abraham quotes is in response to the question: how do you get rid of negative momentum? And Abraham quips: you get rid of it before it starts.

While this sounds silly, it’s actually really sage advice about how to let go of negative energy. When you are already focused on something, you have a lot more negative momentum moving in that direction, and you are not receptive enough to see the possible solutions or alternative choices available to you. You need to get into the receiving mode before you can clear your limiting beliefs. If you’re in a bad mood, this may mean your best option in the moment is to distract yourself, meditate, or even just take a nap. You have to do anything to stop the frenzy of unwanted energy.

Then, when you are in a more neutral or good-feeling place, you can begin the process of releasing resistance.

Abraham tells us that the key to clearing your resistance is to pay attention to where you place your focus. When you focus on aspects you can appreciate in your surroundings, you are creating empowering beliefs, and raising your vibration.

Abraham Hicks Releasing Resistance Meditation

In this video, Abraham goes into depth about how resistance works and how you can use the 22 processes in Ask and It Is Given in order to clear it. Of these, the most powerful tool is meditation.

When you meditate, you reset your vibration to a neutral point. In the process, you drop any resistance you have that is blocking you from receiving the inspiration towards your desire.

“How do you get rid of negative momentum? You get rid of it before it starts.”

“When something really, really matters to you, let it go! Say to The Universe: ‘You know what I want. Give it to me in the path of least resistance. Give it to me in the easiest way possible. Give it to me in any way I can get it.’ “

Resistance is about believing that you are vulnerable or susceptible to something not wanted and holding a stance of protection – which only holds you in a place of not letting in the Well-being that would be there otherwise. There is nothing big enough to protect you from unwanted things, and there are no unwanted things big enough to get into your experience.”
