The Anahata in Sanskrit otherwise known as the heart chakra is the fourth chakra in our seven chakra energy system. This chakra is the beautiful bridge between the upper three chakras known as the celestial and spiritual connected ones and the three lower chakras known and the earthly and materially connected ones.
In the physical and symbolic associations, the heart chakra holds our hearts. Our compassion, sense of wellbeing, emotional intelligence, and feelings of interconnectedness reside within here.
Anahata chakra also impacts and has a relationship with our hearts, our circulatory system, lungs, shoulders, immune system, thymus gland, and our arms which are the extensions of our hearts.
How To Tell If Your Heart Chakra Is Blocked
The heart chakra, like any chakra, can become blocked. Our chakras are energy centers in the body that work as a sort of gathering point within the layers of our mental, physical, and emotional layers.
Chakra in Sanskrit translates to “wheel” or “circle” this can begin to explain that our chakras spin and need continuous movement to thrive. Similar to our bodies which need replenishing of nutrients as well as expelling the excess in order to thrive, our chakras need movement as well.
These blockages can take the form of showing up as physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual blockages. From heart disease or blood pressure problems all the way to feeling unwanted or struggling to forgive these are all aspects of a closed or imbalanced heart chakra.
What Are Affirmations?
Affirmations are used in psychology as well as new age thought. They affirm an idea or concept to your subconscious and conscious mind most commonly used in repetition.
When we have a thought we will also attach an associated image, feeling, and response to this thought. It has actually been proven that our brain actually cannot tell the difference between visualizations real-life events.
By using affirmations we are telling and affirming to the brain a reality we are wanting to integrate with. The repetition of these thoughts work to ingrain themselves in the subconscious.
The power of affirmations is actually amplified when we attach our emotions to them. This begins to affect the way we interact with life and the way we view ourselves.
When we have an underlying belief system that we can trust ourselves or that we are worthy of love we will begin to naturally act in a way that harmonizes with this reality rather than in a way that blocks this from entering our lives.
Affirmations really work to disarm self-sabotaging tendencies and make it easier to create change. They can rewire our neuropathways and will prime the soil of our lives for seeds of success to sprout easily.
