In our natural state, we as human beings are happy. We actually do not need much to make us happy just the reminder that the power to be happy lies within our decision to be. Below are five simple rules that will realign you to your innate happiness.
Count Your Blessings
It is incredibly important to acknowledge the blessings you have all around you. As Deepak Chopra even gives the practice in day 1 of his 21-day abundance challenge to behold all of the abundance that surrounds you.
Use this thought to anchor you back into gratitude for all the abundance that already exists in your life throughout your day. When we forget all the gifts we have that have become just a daily part of living it is easier to crave more and maybe even find ourselves feeling empty.
Make a list of 20 things every morning that you are grateful for. Take the time to actually appreciate each of these things in your life. This can be from having clean drinking water to being able to walk.

Start Your Day Right
Abraham Hicks teaches that each thought you think, emotion you feel, or action you take is energy in motion. You can increase the momentum behind these experiences by continuing to focus on something or by continuing to take action that supports this thought.
By taking the time to start your day with positive energy you set the tone for the rest of your day to follow this note. Your first motions continue to ripple throughout your day and you can reap the benefits of this energetic law by consciously working with it.
Listen To Your Body
The impact our physiology has on our mental state is more powerful than you think. This is something Tony Robbins explains when teaching others how to create lasting change in their lives.
In the book, The Body Keeps the Score, Bessel Van Der Klock explains how trauma is not just stored in our emotional body but our physical body as well. The care we give our bodies will create a positive effect on our emotional and mental health as well.
Simple practices such as adjusting our body posture to present a sense of confidence or calmness can begin to create this response in our brains.
Keep Your Time and Space Sacred
Keeping high standards of what you allow in your space and what you do with your time show that you value your time and space which you should. To reference energy in motion again, your positive state will stay in motion unless, like Newtons 1st law, it is acted upon by an unbalanced force.
This means disconnecting from negative television shows, avoiding gossiping, and learning how to deal with negative people. Your attention and focus is powerful when you realize this you will only deepen amplify your desire to focus on that which makes you happy.
Through the law of attraction where you place your time and energy will directly impact your reality. This can give you even more reason to take charge of saying no to draining obligations or friends you aren’t meeting your standards.
