Stillness Meditation Script

Today, we are going to dive more deeply into the qualities of stillness. Yesterday, we touched upon it. he space between your breaths. But, what is this space?

What, is stillness?

Stillness isawareness. Beingness. Is-ness.

It is your universal nature. The “I am” that is, before all else can be.

You may perceive this stillness in many ways. You might describe it as awareness, spaciousness, openness, warmth, silence.

It is joy. Bliss. Love. Light.

It simply, profoundly, is.

Tuning in to this space is not difficult. It is effortless, if only you listen.

For many, there is a sensation of stepping back. Of rising up, or behind. Of looking in. A feeling of witnessing, watching. Of standing back, to allow whatever may pass, to pass. To allow whatever is, simply to be.

This is non-judgment.

This is awareness.

This is your true nature.

Tuning into this feeling does not have to be difficult. Your body, and your world, originate from this awareness, this feeling of simple, effortless existence.

The only thing you must do, is listen for it. 

If you listen, what do you hear?

You hear words, and music, and perhaps a few other sounds.

But, can you also hear silence? The space behind the sounds.

Listen closely. Can you hear silence within the music? Can you hear the origin of sound?

Can you hear stillness?

Do not worry if you do not yet have a sense of this space. Remember, we are only just beginning. As we continue through the next few weeks, we will explore this energy, this awareness, from many angles. Soon, you will know it so easily, so effortlessly, that you will be able to tune-in on command, simply by choosing to rest into it. Whatever you have felt today, whatever peace you have glimpsed, is only the beginning.
