How To Write a Manifestation List in 6 Steps

The Law of Attraction isn’t that complicated. When you stay focused on your dreams, and maintain a positive mindset in relation to them, your desires will manifest for you.

But, sometimes getting from the dream to the experience can feel like a long, hard, slog.

So, in this post I want to share a really simple exercise that will help you to maintain a positive focus on your desire, long enough to raise your energy and start building momentum towards it.

What’s the secret?

Write a manifestation list. It’s one of our 7 simple manifestation exercises I outline in another post, and one of my personal favorite techniques. Here’s how to do it:

How To Write a Manifestation Journal – 6 Tips

1. Get a Specific Manifestation Notebook or Journal

First things first. Make sure you create some physical space for this exercise, by getting a new journal or notebook to use as your manifestation journal.

I like to keep this separate from any other notebooks or affirmation journal I have, because this one is dedicated exclusively to writing about the things I want to experience, and the details of why they’re exciting to me. Keeping it separate creates a clear, positive trigger in my mind, that this is the time to focus on my aims.

2. Clear Your Head.

The second step is to clear your head. I always meditate for 5 minutes or so before I start my list. Meditating will help you to release any resistance or negative energy you’re bringing with you from the rest of your day, and gives you a better chance of aligning with your intuitive energy.

As you move into a calmer state of mind, you will likely find it becomes easier to focus, and you can think about your desire with a clear, open mind that is conducive to moving energy towards it.

3. Imagine Your Wish Fulfilled.

Once you’ve cleared your head, start out by gently imagining your dream. Neville Goddard calls this living from the wish fulfilled.

As your goals move into focus, you have the opportunity to become more and more clear about them. Details begin to emerge, and you will find that you start feeling excited and ecstatic about the possibilities before you.

Don’t worry about trying to capture these images just yet. Take your time reveling in the purity and potential of your dream.

4. Write Down Every Detail of Your Vision

Only after you’ve spent at least a minute or two fantasizing about your goal should you actually pick up a pen and start to write. This is a form of automatic writing that uses your stream of conscious thought to jot down the details of your manifestation.

When you’re ready, simply begin to write down everything that you see in your vision. Take your time, and don’t force any words to come out. When you lose your train of thought, or can’t see the details as clearly as you’d like, take a few moments to close your eyes and breathe, recapturing the ecstatic energy you had a few moments before. Then, when you feel ready, keep writing.

5. Check Your Resonance – How Does The Dream Feel?

As you write, it’s important that you maintain a clear connection to your intuitive energy and inspiration.

The best way to know whether or not you are doing this is to check in with yourself. Identify your resonance – the way that your words feel – as you write.

Try to write by choosing thoughts that feel a little bit better, and a little bit better. That will raise your energy and move you into a higher state.

6. Appreciate Your Current Manifestations

Lastly, always end your session by writing down things you appreciate in your life, right now.

Many people overlook this step, but it’s extremely important to help solidify your faith in your ability to manifest your goals. One of my favorite techniques is to use this time to recap manifestations that have already come into my life…focusing in particular on anything that seemed random or unexpected.

The more you can cultivate faith in synchronicity – the ability to manifest unexpected positive outcomes, the more easily you will believe that your dreams are on their way to you.

Manifestation Journal Template: Sample and Example List

I want to point out that there is no single “right way” to keep a manifestation list or journal. Following the steps above will lead you through a simple process that works because it combines the act of raising your energy with the act of increasing the focus on your desires.

If you can achieve those two aspects, in any form, your manifestation list will work.

That said, when you’re first starting out, it helps if you follow a proven process to make the most of your manifestation list. So, I’ve outlined a simply system that will help.

I call them, the 3 Magic Phrases. Click here to get started.
